Indio Rojo, Guatemala 🇬🇹

Where does our cocoa actually come from??

This is the first attempt to introduce one of our favorite strains in more detail. Do you like this format Let us know in the comments!!

Indio Rojo or "Mayan Red" from Guatemala

Below you can see impressions of the cocoa harvest, the two fincas and the people of our partner farm in Guatemala.
The cocoa bean that grows there is a genetically very pure "Indio Rojo", often called "Mayan Red" in chocolate jargon.

Who are the people behind this cocoa?

The beans are imported to Europe by Christoph and Marsha. Christoph is from Germany, Marsha is from Guatemala. The cocoa grows on the land of two fincas that have been in Marsha's family for generations. Her sister, the power woman and entrepreneur Carla, established cocoa farming on the two fincas in 2011. A small, fine, globally active family business.
Our thanks go out to everyone who made this great story possible & gave us so many beautiful moments with this unmistakable, great cocoa.
You can find more impressions atthe site by Christopher & Marsha.
