Ice, Ice, Cacao - the summer drink you need!

Forget iced coffee - this summer, iced cacao is at the top of the drinks list. Chocolatey, refreshing, plant-based and full of natural power: our iced cacao drinks are not only delicious, they are surprisingly versatile.

Whether you like it fruity, nutty or classic, we show you our favorite recipes with Moruga Cacao for warm days. All drinks are vegan, can be made with no added sugar and are easy to prepare at home.

💡 Good to know: why fine cacao does not dissolve in cold milk

Pure fine cacao like ours is made from 100% ground cacao beans, with no additives. That means no emulsifiers, no sugar and no soluble carriers. What makes it so high quality also means it does not simply dissolve in cold milk or water. Its high cocoa butter content and natural fiber make it resistant when cold, so it can clump or settle at the bottom. It is best to first stir it with hot water or milk and only then add cold liquid or ice, or let it cool down first.

What you need:

  • 5-7 Moruga Cacao Drops, depending on how intense you like it

  • 200 ml oat milk or water

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional: a pinch of cinnamon as a topping

How to make it:

  1. Dissolve the Moruga Drops in oat milk. This works best if you gently warm the milk first and then let it cool again.

  2. Chill the mixture in the fridge.

  3. Pour over ice cubes, top with a little cinnamon and enjoy.

A few more tips for the perfect iced cacao at home:

  • Prepare ice cubes: it sounds simple, but it makes all the difference. Or freeze a little oat milk so your drink does not become watery.

  • Dissolve the cacao first: briefly melt the Moruga Drops in warm milk or water and then chill.

  • Mix and match: toppings like cinnamon, vanilla, cacao nibs or nut butter make the difference.
