Sustainable Enjoyment: Our New Packaging
Good news for everyone who values sustainability and practical packaging: our Chuncho, as the first variety with the rest to follow soon, is now available in a new pack, with the same quality and full flavor.
Sustainability, rethought
From now on, we are using fully recyclable packaging made as one piece, just like our cacao itself. Until now, our packaging consisted of two components: the bag and the product label. This made recycling more difficult. With the new unified solution, that problem disappears: the packaging can now be fully recycled without complicated separation.
The packaging we use is particularly sustainable because it is made from fully recyclable mono-plastic, such as PE or PP, which can be reused without complex material separation. Thanks to its stable construction, less material is needed, and the integrated aroma valve helps extend shelf life, reducing food waste. 🌱♻️
ℹ️ By the way: the small opening in the packaging, often called an aroma valve or degassing valve, allows excess gases such as carbon dioxide, which can occur after roasting or in fermented products, to escape without letting oxygen enter. This keeps your cacao's aroma fresh for longer while preventing the packaging from inflating or bursting. Perfect for long-lasting quality and flavor. 🍫✨
